JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a rapidly expanding, successful Canadian Biologics developer and manufacturer. Our client supplies the international clinical diagnostic marketplace with biological drugs and Dx testing products, promoting and enhancing human health.

As the Director or VP, IT, you will (1) help create the integrated digital vision for the company  and (2) deliver this vision thoughout the organization resulting in exceptional customer service, greatly improved processes and inter departmental data integration.       

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create the overall digital vision and the ensuing roadmap with specific goals and objectives that are aligned with the business strategy.
  • Manage the acquisition of eQMS (Quality Management System) and integrate with R & D, Manufacturing and other departments.
  • Adjust R&D, QC, S&M, and Operations procedures according to new systems.
  • Make sure modules  and changes conform to best practices.  
  • Insuring Data Security and Cyber Security as well as Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Build and execute according to budgets, priorities and commitments .

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years in a senior Biotechnology IT leadership position driving IT transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment during times of significant growth and change.
  • Very up to date on eQMS systems, LIMS, ERP solutions and their integration.
  • Especially au courant re: consolidation and centralization of technologies and services in the eQMS area.
  • Stimulates rethinking processes and procedures and helps create new practices.
  • Bachelor degree (or higher) and a track record of IT innovation in the Biotech sector.
